About

Amanda Haas Halim (she/they) is a Swiss-Egyptian graphic designer, art director, and strategist working between Basel, Berlin, and beyond. Through Studio Amanda Haas, she collaborates with a diverse network to offer full-service design solutions, consulting and brand strategy.

Graduating from the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in 2010, Amanda has built a vibrant practice in the arts and culture sector. Their concept-driven approach blends structured clarity with playful unpredictability, specializing in art direction, graphic design and typography across print and digital media for varied clients.

Dedicated to exploring new design methods and interdisciplinary exchange, Amanda lectures on design's role in addressing social justice or leads mindfulness-based workshops at art and design school. Guided by transparency, sustainability, and feminism, Studio Amanda Haas actively challenges the status quo in design and beyond.

“I dedicate my work to inspiring change. Developing solutions to today’s challenges and fostering collaborative mindsets is my passion.”

School of Observation

www.schoolofobservation.com

The School of Observation, founded by Amanda Haas and Giacomo Santiago Rogado, is a multidisciplinary publishing and research lab rooted in collaboration. Together, they create workshops, books, objects, and interventions for exhibitions, spaces, and diverse formats.

Guided by mindfulness and regenerative practices, the School embraces sustainability in both life and work. With no fixed teachers or predefined subjects, its vision is to cultivate a more mindful connection to the environment and inner self. Observation lies at its core, fostering a culture of awareness and exploration.

Not all projects result in tangible outputs—some remain ephemeral, like guided meditations in exhibitions that invite visitors to experience space and perception in new ways.
